An Ode To My Coffee Challenge Accepted
I'll make the Vogons proud.
Oh sweet Starbucks triple grande soy latte,
How I love the sight of thee.
The sleep eroding nectar to start the day,
Your rich foam and caffeine are to me,
The warming brown liquid I keep
To heart for that morning spark,
Quench my hunger, feed my thirst,
Rid me of the nights long sleep.
Flavor my day and sing the lark
A silly ode that shouldn't be versed. But alas this ode ends in woe
For your gilded cardboard sleeve
And drive through convenience on the go
Are a barmy expense that will leave
My wallet open and empty, spreading
Like spring clouds that ebb and billow
The hearts desire. Your intoxicating foam
Is frivolous like the slanket, or wedding,
Or the as the seen on TV buckwheat pillow,
Which reminds me, I have good coffee at home.
